Give us Federal once in power – Buganda PM asks POA

KAMPALA – The FDC Presidential candidate Hon. Eng. Patrick Amuriat Oboi has on Friday morning paid a courtesy visit to Bulange – Mengo, the seat of Buganda Kingdom.

POA and delegation were received by Buganda Kingdom Ministers; Owek. Chris Bwanika the Kingdom Attorney General, Owek. Noah Kiyimba the Kingdom Spokesperson and Minister for information and cabinet affairs and Owek. Daudi Mpanga the Kingdom Protocol affairs minister.

The Katikiro (Prime Minister) of the Kingdom Owek. Charles Peter Mayiga welcomed POA and the delegation and thanked them for prioritizing Federal System of Government in the FDC manifesto and implored the FDC once it ascends to power to uphold the key 5 tenets of the kingdom that include:

1. Protecting the Institution of the Kingdom.

2. Federalism

3. Securing the kingdom properties and boundaries.

4. Foster for social – economic development of the people of Buganda and;

5. Fostering unity.

In his address, POA assured the Kingdom of total support to Mengo’s objectives.

The Katikiro handed over a certificate worth 2million and Kabaka birthday run kits worth 4millions to the candidate and thanked him for the good gesture of supporting the Kingdom.

Hon. POA handed over a copy of the FDC manifesto to the Katikiro.

The Presidential candidate was accompanied by the FDC Deputy President Owek. Joyce Nabbosa Ssebugwawo, the Party Chairman Owek. Amb. Wasswa Biriggwa, Nakawa Constituency MP Hon. Michael Kabaziguruka among others.
