More 146 new COVID-19 cases, 2 deaths registered in Uganda

KAMPALA – Ministry of health has announced 146 new coronavirus cases from the COVID-19 tests done on October 3, 2020.

This brings the cumulative confirmed cases of Ugandans to 8,808.

Part of the new cases are 83 alerts and contacts to previously confimed cases.

They are as follows;

“Masaka (61), Kampala (11), Gulu (4), Arua (1), Buikwe (1), Buvuma (1), Jinja (1), Luwero (1), Moyo (1), Adjumani (1),” the ministry said in a statement.

Additionally, 63 returnees with 44 from Oman, 12 from Jordan, 5 from Saudi Arabia and 2 South Sudan also tested positive for COVID-19.

The ministry has also confirmed 2 new COVID-19 deaths from Kampala and Gulu.

The total COVID-19 deaths are now 81 while the recoveries are 4,736.
