NAKASEKE – The ruling Party’s – NRM National Treasurer Hon Rose Namayanja has strongly warned against any acts of violence during and after the electoral process in Nakaseke district.
Namayanja made the warning shortly after the nomination of Mr. Nsereko Charles Kawuma, the NRM flag bearer for Nakaseke South Constituency in Nakaseke District.
“You should not be intimidated by any one. We are in receipt of reports of threats being directed towards some of our NRM supporters but the government is ready to protect every one during and after the elections,” Namayanja said.
Her remarks followed complaints from the NRM supporters that they were receiving threats from some opposition leaders in the area for their continued support towards NRM.
“The NRM government shall not torolet such threats and whoever is planning such threats should revisit the decision and stay warned,” she stressed.
Speaking at the same event, newly nominated Charles Nsereko hailed the people of Nakaseke South for the support rendered to him since he declared the intention to contest.
He pledged to serve as a strong link between Nakasrke South and the Central government to win more funding and projects to the Constituency.
